The Youth Vote 2008
The young Americans who came out last night to vote for Obama have an interesting challenge ahead of them.
College age students, who will graduated with minimum $20-30K of student loan debt on the average and $20K in consumer debt, are going to have a very interesting view in 4 years.Statics say that only 20% of college graduates work in the field of their degree.
So with $40K worth of debt and stepping out into the workplace as over educated under experienced workers, they will experience the seed they have sown with the votes for Change. There is no denying that that taxes will go up, business nationwide are already taking assessment of who they will keep and who they will have to let to go to pay for the increases on taxes that will be levied on the corporate and small business world. Jobs will ship overseas and small businesses will make cuts.
In 4 years when you step out into the real world and out of the ideology of your academic college professors, who have spent countless hours teaching you their social and radical ideas of their youth, hopefully you will able to find a job.
The liberal social agenda that you have voted for in the guise of "change", this seed you have sown, is going to reap a harvest that will find you, living back home with your parents, mountains of debt, a degree you can't wipe with and you will struggle in our soon to be big government/socialist economy to find those capitalist opportunities that our country was founded on, that are touted by us conservatives, free market believers and capitalists.
Remember, free is not always free, change is not always for the better, doing good is not always right and 4 years is not far away.

Take a Day off Work Campaign for Obama
The Take the Day Off web ad shows again how out of touch Senator Obama is with the rest of the country. My honest opinion is that when employees ask for election day off to go campaign and get turned down the employer, the employer is going to be levied with allegations of bias and racism. The audacity of Obama to ask struggling families to sacrifice and business owners to close shop so Obamaites can keep knocking on doors and make phone calls is quite plainly insane. What are they thinking? Unreal.

Socialism Singing
There has been a lot of talk about Obama being a Socialist, surprise, he is. A few weeks ago he was talking volunteers for this, volunteer to get your college, give back to your community, then a video showed up in the media of precious children singing Obama's gonna change the world.
Not very many things stuck me, however this video did, right to the core. All of a sudden I saw brown shirted German children singing to Hitler and remember those beautiful North Korean children that could only sing about their Precious Leader.
These images are disturbing and bring the fact so much closer that this election is pivotal, it is not about Republicans or Democracts it is really about removing our freedoms. Plain and simple.
So I wanted to share this link with everyone, and let the images settle on you. It can happen, it has happened to other great empires before, you do not want it to happen to you.

Sarah's New Clothes
**************All the hub-bub about Sarah Palin's new wardrobe for her and her family costing $150,000. The media needs to get off this issue and quick, or we are going to start adding up Obama costs that he leaves behind in cities and doesn't pay the bill, like Newport News Virginia, where they dropped in gave a speech and left the city with a $30,000 tab. Obama campaign lunch tab $300,000. Yes folks, six figures for lunch. Hillary's pantsuits cost $6350 each, should we go back through the media clips and count how many she has been seen in? Trust me, the taxpayers in NY paid for those suits, somehow, someway.
Oh and let's not forget the $22 Millon dollar extravaganza Obama is planning in Chicago for election night. $22 Million! Don't think for one minute IF he gets in the White House, Obama and his spouse will spend us right our paychecks.
So here is the Red Shoe take on Sarah's new clothes, she deserves them. She is my GOP candidate for VP and I want her looking sharp. We cannot let our candidate walk around in sack dresses from slick designers that look like leftovers from their lastest runway show like Michelle Obama wears.
So from the Red Shoe gals, Sarah......you go girl! You are worth it. And don't forget the Inaugurational gown should be drop dead gorgeous. Shop with Cindy she has great taste.

Lipstick Award 10-18-08
This week our Lipstick Award goes to Joe the Plumber. The average Joe got the chance to ask Obama a totally off the cuff unscripted unplanned question which got a real answer. It seems as if Obama felt he was talking to a supporter and felt comfortable with his socialist answer of "spread the wealth around" unfortunately, most American that work, do not feel the same way as Obama and his communist crew that likes to tax us more so they can give away our hard earned money to those who do not work.
So, three cheers for Joe Plumber, our hero of the week.

Hillary needs a fact check
Hillary Clinton this evening did a interview Chris Wallace of FOX News after the presidental debate, she touted how her husband and the Democratic party's ideas created such affluence in America. We need to make sure that Hillary realizes this success was not due to her husband great intellect, oratory skills and efforts to pass tremendous reforms in Congress like Welfare to Work, but it was due to the fact that Newt Gingrich and the Republican party put it all on the line to reform government.
Clinton's only success is due to the fact that the House and Senate were predominately GOP and those elected Republicans stood hard and fast to the reduction of government and taxes.
Mrs. Clinton needs a fact check.

Senator Government
Watching the last and final presidential debate, Senator McCain said it all with that one freudian slip. Senator Government.
It comes down to this, we all can clearly see that Government right now can't do the job, we are suppose to pull in our belts, suck up $4 a gallon milk prices, $4 a gallon heating fuel prices, and $3+ a gallon gas prices, while Washington and Senator Government spends our money like Imelda Marcos in a Jimmy Choo shop.
Enough is enough, if you are not convinced then you must have blind eyes and deaf ears, Senator Government will tax you into the ground, while people 40% of Americans who pay no taxes, decide your elections and recieve more handouts for jobs not well done. Washington will continue to pull a pay check, work when they want, take long vacations ( this job has more vacation time than teachers) and spend your money on pork and wasteful projects.
It is enough to make you vomit.

Red Shoe Politics gives the "Young Turks" in the GOP party a total 5 star gloss. The Young Turks along with their Blue Dog counterparts put it all on the line on the bailout bill, telling the White House and power Dems in the House that excessive knee jerk reactions to the blank check bailout Paulsen wants was unacceptable.
Thanks to all who voted No this week on this flimsy plan. Thank you for listening to our concerns.
We love you, we have your names and you have our vote.

Feelings....whoa whoa whoa Feelings...
Something I noticed last night when pundits were interviewing "Undecided Voters" was how many people when asked how Obama did in the debate gave an emotional answer. He made me "feel"_____. Excuse me ya'll....how does "feelings" play into anything.
This is like voting for someone because they are the best looking person (which would be Sarah Palin). I have heard people say they were going to vote for Obama because "he had a nice smile." I understand voting for Obama if you are black, you are making a statement, our skin color sort of matches, and even though my family has been in America for 300 years and worked hard for their American dream it doesn't matter Obama's father is a Muslim Kenyan, and Obama grew up mostly abroad in Muslim schools, I will vote for him because we look alike. There is a scream of insanity here you can't quite put your finger on. It is pulsing.....can't you feel it?
This election is not about how you feel, this is the Presidency not who is going to be King of the Prom. Heck life is not even about how you feel. I do not feel like getting up every morning and going to work, but I do because if I don't there is less money for the household. That is a fact. Not a feeling. Feelings are not allowed to operate in the day to day of the normal American. Of course you can feel like having dessert, however if you want to shed a few extra pounds you should pass on your feelings and skip dessert.
Life is about facts, not feelings. You don't work, you don't eat. You cheat on your taxes you get audited, you steal from your boss you get fired. Facts. Elections are fact. Did you check your facts? They say knowledge is power, however I know of many in academia they absorb the written word and concepts thereof with brillance, however many of them have never once applied their knowledge to everyday practical wisdoms. They don't even know when to come out of the rain. Step outside folks, take a look around..... it is raining!
Fact check, knowledge of an application is not the same as applying said knowledge into action. I know how a nuclear power plant operates (thanks to my type A husband who gave me an A+ lecture while I was reading a book on Chernobyl) however do I think for one minute I can waltz into a nuclear power plant and operate it? Nope, not for a damn minute.
No one can doubt that Mr. Obama has an excellent grasp on political knowledge, not to mention an attractive style and does not stutter as much when he has his teleprompter to refer to, however he has not, not one single time while he has been a member of the Senate shown any action to serve the people of this country. Serve, not siphon.
Obama wants American's to look into his "nice eyes" as one lady put it, put on their rose colored glasses so the glare from his pearly whites doesn't blind us, toss in some ear plugs and vote for him cause he makes us "feel good". Close your eyes, Obama is dancing with you right now......
Remember is feels so good to dance, eventually though you have to pay the fiddler and trust me Obama is going to make you pay, then you all you will be able to sing is "Hurts So Good."

Presidential Debate
Last night the Presidential Candidates sqaured off at Ole Miss and we were treated to a stumbling Obama and check my record McCain. The economic crisis was the first topic out of the box and neither candidate came out and said what the majority of America was thinking, which was "enough is enough." Even though McCain made some excellent points on spending. Here is what I would have liked to have heard from McCain.
" " As you know the Democratic Leadership and the White House came up with a plan for this Wall Street bailout and the GOP leaders in the House felt that it was not acceptable for the American taxpayer. The phone lines were melting in Congress down by constituents upset at another Washington bailout of Wall Street. The GOP House is dedicated putting forward an alternative plan that is the least costly to the American taxpayer."
In no subtle tones a statment like this would have resounding effect in voting the booth. McCain is not Bush, the GOP doesn't stand with the White House on this issue, the American taxpayer is the main concern of the GOP and the Democrats in leadership in the House and Senate look like the socialists they are.
McCain should have pointed fingers at the Democrats who refuse to let certain bills come to the floor for votes. He should have been more pointed when it came to scorching Obama on his lack luster performance in the Senate, instead of just giving a website to go to check the facts.
Obama certainly lost his "anti-war" voters, as he proposes to make Afghanistan the next front to wage violence upon and his concession to nuclear power after opposing it. He still bumbled through a lot of the debate, let McCain get under his skin and swapped his positions from extreme left to almost middle of the road. Clearly the man can't make up his mind.
Let your yes be yes and your no be no
A doubleminded man is unstable in all ways.
At least McCain knows where he stood on his issues. Obama was not as sure footed as the old maverick.

$700 Billion Bailout??!!??
Kudos to the House GOP......putting this Paulsen plan down in flames. Bring on the marshmellows.
Fiddle dee dee I will think about that tomorrow......
According to Barney Frank this morning (9-26-08) people who want to buy cars and furniture won't be able to purchase them because credit is drying up. Mr. Frank, this is not a bad thing I will tell you why.
Americans have spent a generation ( my generation to be exact) of buy now pay later. Impulsive buying, overspending by consumers and Congress, have put our country in this bailout position. Consumers have spent and lived above their means and Congress thinks the taxpayer is made of money and spends it like there is no tomorrow.
Guess what? Tomorrow came this week! Bad subprime loans, bundled up and sold to Wall Street came back and bit some of the best and longest lived brokerage houses in the world and shredded them to bit. Legacies of finance wipeout in a single day. Brokers scrambling to find OPM (other people's money) to give solvency to their businesses.
This borrow from Peter and pay Paul lifestyle especially in government finally comes to head like a pimple on prom night. Oooh, it is ugly.
America, we cannot continue to live in the "Robbing the Apostles" lifestyle. It has to quit, it has to quit in lending, it has to quit in real estate, it has to quit in consumerism and it has to quit in Congress!
Now that tomorrow has arrived it is time to be loud and clear, vote America and send these overspending, overtaxing, overbloated government out on the fannies. I think we should audit every single congressman/woman and Senator. Every penny they spend should be put under a microscope, every earmark, every liquid lunch the taxpayer has to pay for, every trip they take, every time they use their House Credit Card and make a swipe on the taxpayer, should be examined, and members of the House and Senate who are not diligent with "our money" should be fired.
Middle class America is weary of being punished for Congressional sins and Wall Street woes. It is time people for tomorrow to come, Scarlet O'Hara has left the stage.

Updates
After a week of DOA internet from the cable company and a week of watching As the Government Turns and Days of Wall Street it is time to get back to Red Shoe Politics. The last straw of listening to all this Wall Street/Congressional mess was Harry Reid plugging Obama in his press meeting this morning. So the subsequent posts are going to be Red Shoe Politics thoughts on all this mess in DC, it is time people to send incumbients out on their rears.

Charlie and the Great Editing Factory
Charlie Gibson tonight got the nod to interview Sarah Palin at home in her state of Alaska. I watched ABC news for the first time in an eon or so to see our fabulous VP nominee share her view point for America.
Total disaster, my head swiveled and my eyes had to keep readjusting to the television screen, the blatant edits that went into this interview were something I have not seen since the networks edited out people jumping from buildings on 9-11.
Charlie seem not able to comprehend some of her answers and we give kudos to the Governor for not letting him get the angle he wanted with his slanted questions. Example " Have you ever meet a foreign head of state?" Charlie, did anyone ask Bill Clinton that question when he was running for President? Gov. Palin is second on the ticket, not first. Did anyone ask Nobama that when he ran for Senate? Remember Nobama is the man who is running for President that decided 16 months into his campaign well maybe I should go to Iraq. There is a well equiped action if I have ever seen one.
Digressing.....my personal opinion is that ABC, like NBC, MSNBC, and CBS left the best parts of the interviews on the floor. I am sure Charlie made sure all his poses were left in the broadcast, looking over his spectacles with a superior aire and the pen posture after posing a question. It was a put on and put up for ratings.
We salute Gov Palin for not letting that blovating overpaid news anchor tromp all over her.

Where's Michelle??
Today is 9-11, somber reflections on the disaster that befell us 7 years ago. We watched as Presidental politics were put aside for the greater cause of rememberance. John McCain was at that Pennslyvania field and then in New York City his wife Cindy graceful at his side setting flowers on a memorial along with Barack Obama. However someone was missing in the landscape. It seems Mrs. Obama is MIA today.
Michelle Obama's absence during a day of mourning and reflection on the attacks of 9-11 only serve to show that she is still not proud of her country. I guess her role if her husband was elected is to go to Hollywood premiers to make sure she still makes that Vanity Fair Best Dressed List every year and to dance with Ellen and Oprah.
Sad to say Michelle Obama will not make it as a nominee in the Red Shoe Awards for 2008.

Wedgie Award 9-10-08
We all know what a "wedgie" is, if you do not know google it. Today the Wedgie Award goes to premier movie actor Matt Damon on his commentary on Gov. Palin.
It is not the fact he likes or dislikes the VP nominee of the Republican Party, it is the fact he "wants to know if she (Palin) believes there were dinosaurs 4,000 years ago. I really want to KNOW that......." Matt Damon states.
It is a very simple answer answer ....No.
There were no dinosaurs 4,000 years ago. Mr. Wedgie Damon if you could add or subtract or heck even read a book (there is a video I would highly recommend to you on youtube.com called READ A BOOK, check it out) you would know that Jesus Christ died 2008 years ago. 2008 minus 2008 is zero, and the timeline puts us back to B.C. times (Before Christ to help you out) these are approximates, then you go back 2000 years before that, you have Summerain, Egyptian Empires, Hebrew & Babylonian Empires.
Here is a clue for you it is 5769 on the Jewish calendar.
So we salute you Matt Damon with the Wedgie Award, for showing America your glowing knowledge of history produced by the public education system and Hollywood.
God save us all

Hannity & Combs?
I watch H&C in spurts, during election time, big media events etc. I keep thinking there is something wrong with me everytime Alan Colmes (had to double check the spelling on his name!) comes on the screen. My mind thinks "milk toast fop" then my conscience will say that is a terrible thing to say then I tell myself " I am sure he is a really nice guy."
When in reality the only reason why Hannity has to share the screen with Colmes is because Foxnews would not be fair and balanced by airing two conservative talk shows back to back. O'Reilly has his own show, and Hannity has Colmes and you can't have two conservatives back to back in the ratings because ......well because... well why not?
And the reason I watch in spurts, I can't stand all the yelling. We don't yell in our home, and I find it barely tolerable to watch highly paid, educated commentators doing it on television. Bad form fellas.

Lipstick and Politics
Oh my....someone stepped in poo and it smells bad...or does it? Well I am not sure what side of the fence to come down on this isssue. We live in the rural south and look at a lot of older homes that have been "rehab'd" and put on the market for sale, and we use the line .... "looks like lipstick on a pig." There you have it Senator Obama, a realtor to your defense, or sort of..but not really because you were not talking about houses, you were talking politics, which put you on the hot seat of every conservative talk show host and Pro Palin blog in the country. OUCH!
So here is my 2 cents for the road weary Senator from Chicago.....the only person you should discuss lipstick with is your wife, if she can't decide what color to buy, tell her both. This way the only lipstick on your face is hers.

Red Shoes
This past week has been a tremendous turning point in GOP politics and especially for women. I watched the DNC with baited breath, waiting for Hillary supporters to get their vote on the convention floor, and was dismayed when they were shoved under the rug. I passed on the Obama the Emperor speech and went to bed with excitement knowing that the GOP would announce their VP pick on Friday morning.
I am one of those GOP party baser that was not happy with the GOP party. I spent the past few months deliberating if I was even going to vote in this election. Glued to Foxnews the speculation swirled and I watched in amazement as John McCain pegged his running mate, Sarah Palin the Governor of Alaska! I called my mother in WA state and said turn on the TV, McCain picked a woman. Then called my best friend with the same message. I sat mezmorized as Gov. Palin walked out when introduced and tears fell down my face. A woman! I can't believe it. It was like God had sent down manna from heaven. I did not even know much about Gov. Palin but knew that any woman (party affliation excluded) that could mayor a small town (like the one I live in of less than 10K people) make a run for Governor and win, and manage a family was impressive to say the least. The media started going down her resume and lo' and behold she was a reformer. This woman actually worked for the people who elected her.
The phone calls did not stop all morning, all my gal pals were jazzed. John McCain seemed to do the inevitable solidify his party's base, bring an unknown reformer governor into the national arena and give women all over America something to cheer about. Sarah Palin is new to national politics but not new to a dog fight and the ole dog in McCain saw something in her that has galvanized women from every party.
There is a little bit of her that every woman can relate to, either being a wife or mother of a special needs child, having teens that rebel against the good wisdom you give them, children in the military, or seeing issues in your city/town/state that need correcting and having the fortitude to seek out change for them, working 9-5 or in my case 6-10 as a small business owner. No matter where you stand or what direction American women view of her, they can see a little sliver of themselves in Sarah Palin. It is the greatest joy to see a Republican woman on the National stage, and it great day for all women, because Sarah Palin is going to be someone who will stand up to the good ole boys and be unyielding for America, not just a party line.
Sarah Palin's name on the Presidental ticket has shown every little girl, young woman, and middle america mom, that you can have it all, you can succeed wherever your heart's desires take you in life. Last Friday, I was proud to be a Republican, proud to be an American and very very proud to be a woman. My only wish was that I had a daughter to share the moment. And the best laugh I got from the whole day, was my best friend who is more about style than politics calling saying "I am voting for her! She even wears Red Shoes!"
